Magic is at its best when it does something. These Magic Moments is a benefit show built on that idea: a full evening of close-up and stage magic, staged to raise money for causes worth backing.

The performer
Wonder, wit, and a healthy dose of science
Daniel Schwartz is a Vancouver-based magician who has spent a lifetime with a deck of cards in his hands. His magic is close-up and conversational — built on sleight of hand, misdirection, and the kind of easy humour that makes an audience feel like they are in on it rather than being fooled at.
By day he is a nephrologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UBC, which supplies both the precision and the punchlines. (Fair warning: when Daniel takes the stage, urine for a treat.)
Alongside his son, award-winning magician Jack Schwartz, Daniel is the co-creator and co-star of Generations: A Magic Show.
