Your host for the evening

Daniel Schwartz

Daniel has spent a lifetime with a deck of cards in his hands. His magic is close-up and conversational, built on sleight of hand, misdirection and the kind of easy humour that makes an audience feel they are in on it, rather than being fooled.

By day he is a nephrologist (a kidney specialist) and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UBC.

With his son, award-winning magician Jack Schwartz, he is the co-creator and co-star of Generations: A Magic Show. More about Daniel’s magic

Is it the same show on both nights?
Yes. The set list for the show is the same each night. Dec 8 supports BC Cancer Foundation, and Dec 10 supports The Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC & Yukon Branch.
When should I arrive?
Doors open at 7:30 pm and the show begins at 8:00 pm. Arriving when the doors open gives you time to settle in before the show.
What does the VIP ticket include?
Everything in a Regular ticket, plus a meet & greet with Daniel after the show, with private magic performed up close.
Where does the money go?
All proceeds from each night go to that night’s charity: the ticket money left once the costs of putting on the show, including card processing fees, are paid. Tickets are sold by FindMagic, and prices include a C$2 ticketing fee per ticket, which goes to FindMagic for running the ticketing.
Will I get a tax receipt?
No. While this is a benefit performance, it is operated by a 3rd party and not the charity itself. As such, no tax receipts are issued.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. If it is, every ticket is refunded in full. If you are unable to attend, tickets are transferable.
